Pure Maple
from Canada,
delivered to
your table.

Pure maple syrup from one family, one forest in Quebec's Appalachian Mountains, and almost 50 years of craft. The same late-harvest maple Japan calls its favourite - pour it once over pancakes, porridge, or plain vanilla ice cream, and you will never reach for the grocery-store kind again.

Built on
three generations
of maple craft.

Wayne Lytton founded Maple Terroir in 1978. Today his son Shawn carries the legacy forward - the same family values, the same uncompromising standards, the same forest.

Certified Organic

No chemicals.
No preservatives.
No compromise.

Triple-certified organic - Ecocert, Canada Organic, and USDA. Every bottle meets the strictest standards in the world, because anything less is not Maple Terroir.

Single-Origin Terroir

One farm. One forest.
Quebec's Appalachian Mountains.

Like single-vineyard wine, our late-harvest maple carries the signature of its land - cold winters that concentrate the sap, mineral-rich soils that deepen the flavour, and old-growth sugar maples that have stood for generations.

Single-Origin Terroir

The Appalachian
Mountains of Quebec.

Terroir is not just for wine. The character of our maple syrup is shaped by the unique microclimate of Quebec's Appalachian range - cold winters that concentrate the sap, mineral-rich soils that deepen the flavour, and old-growth forests where the sugar maples have stood for generations.

We harvest late in the season, when the sap runs deepest and richest. No blending, no shortcuts. Every bottle traces back to one farm, one family, one forest.

Late-Harvest

Deeper, richer sap collected at the season's peak.

Single-Origin

One farm, one forest. Never blended or diluted.

No Additives

Zero chemicals, preservatives, or bleaching agents.

Family-Crafted

Three generations of maple knowledge and care.

Our Heritage

Three generations of
maple craft.

Founded in 1978 by Wayne Lytton, Maple Terroir is now led by his son Shawn as President. Our family's connection to the land runs deep - we source exclusively from a single-origin maple farm nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of Quebec.

The Craft

Forty litres of sap.
One litre of syrup.
Six weeks a year.

Every bottle begins with a single tap, a copper spile, and a short window between the last frost and first bud. We boil, we filter, we bottle. Nothing is added. Nothing is rushed.

An Artistic Lineage

Founder Wayne Lytton's mother, Georgina Abrams Lytton, was a celebrated artist whose work resides in the National Gallery of Canada. That same eye for craft and beauty runs through everything we create.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Maple Terroir's products unique?

Our products are crafted from pure, late-harvest maple syrup sourced from a single-origin maple farm in the Appalachian Mountains of Quebec. This single-origin approach ensures quality over quantity.

Do you offer any discounts for bulk purchases?

Yes. We provide tiered discounts for bulk orders. Larger quantities offer greater savings.

How quickly will my order ship?

Orders are typically processed within 1 to 2 business days. Delivery times vary based on your location, but most Canadian orders arrive within 3 to 7 business days.

What is your return policy?

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us within 14 days of receipt. We will guide you through our return or exchange process to ensure your satisfaction.

Are your products suitable for gifts?

Definitely. Our products, especially the maple-leaf-shaped syrup bottles and gift sets, make excellent gifts. We also offer gift wrapping options at checkout.

Are your products organic or gluten-free?

Many of our products are certified organic and gluten-free. Please refer to individual product descriptions for specific certifications and dietary information.

How can I contact customer service?

You can reach us through our Contact page or call us at +1 (604) 324-6556, Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM PST.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship worldwide from our facility in Vancouver. International delivery times and duties vary by destination. Please contact us before placing a large international order so we can confirm rates and customs requirements for your country.

How should I store my maple syrup once it is opened?

Unopened bottles keep for up to two years in a cool, dry cupboard. Once opened, refrigerate and use within twelve months for the best flavour. If any crystallisation occurs, warm the bottle gently in hot water to return the syrup to a smooth consistency.

What is the difference between Golden, Amber, and Dark maple syrup?

The grade reflects when in the season the sap was tapped. Golden is the lightest and most delicate, harvested early in the season. Amber has a richer, more rounded maple flavour and is our most versatile grade. Dark is late-harvest, with the deepest, most robust taste, ideal for baking, glazing, and coffee.

Are your maple products certified organic?

Our pure maple syrup is certified organic by Ecocert, Canada Organic, and USDA Organic. Our confectionery and specialty products are not all organic-certified. Please check the individual product description for the certifications that apply.

Do you offer wholesale or private label?

Yes. We work with cafés, restaurants, specialty grocers, and corporate gifting partners across North America. Visit our Wholesale page or contact us directly to discuss pricing, custom labelling, and minimum order quantities.
